Who we are

Unified Steps Pty Ltd ("Unified Steps", "we", "us") provides disability support services in Western Sydney. You can contact us about privacy at info@unifiedsteps.com.au or on 0451 084 731.

What this policy covers

This policy covers information you submit through the enquiry, referral and callback forms on this website. It does not cover information collected by third-party websites you may visit through links on this site.

Information we collect through the website

Depending on the form you use, we may collect:

  • your name and contact details (email address and phone number);
  • your relationship to the participant, if you are making a referral;
  • the service, service area and general support needs you describe;
  • the participant's first name, if you choose to provide it;
  • your preferred callback time; and
  • your consent to the privacy statement.

We ask you not to include diagnoses, medical records, NDIS numbers or other sensitive information in website forms. If you do include sensitive information, we will handle it with care, but email is not a completely secure way to send it.

How the information is sent

When you submit a form, the information is sent by email to the Unified Steps team through a secure server-side email API. The website does not store form submissions in a database. The email delivery provider processes the message on our behalf so it can be delivered.

The final email provider and its privacy terms will be confirmed before the website is launched. If you would like to know which provider is used, please contact us.

Our hosting and security provider may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the website, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

Why we collect it

  • to respond to your enquiry or callback request;
  • to assess a referral and check service availability;
  • to discuss and arrange support if we are a good fit; and
  • to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Who may receive it

The information is received by the Unified Steps team and the email delivery provider used to transmit the message. We do not sell your information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of a person.

How long we keep it

We do not store website form submissions on the website. Emails are kept only for as long as needed to respond, provide support, meet legal obligations and manage our records. We will not keep information longer than necessary.

Access and correction

You can ask us to access or correct the information we hold about you. Contact us at info@unifiedsteps.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use non-essential advertising cookies or analytics tracking. Our hosting provider may use essential technology to deliver the site securely. If this changes, we will update this policy.

Children

If you are submitting information about a child, you should be the child's parent, guardian or authorised representative, or have their permission. We will handle children's information with additional care.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information, including using a server-side email integration and limiting the information requested through the website. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive information through the website forms.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
